Today was a beautiful day to be on the Dora Canal. The
breeze was cool, the sun warm and the wildlife was enjoying it too. We got to
see a few Turtles out sunning, Great Blue, Little Blue and Green Herons. The
Coots are down for the Winter now and the Anhingas are starting to nest. The
males are donning their beautiful green eyes in hopes of attracting a girl. The
Great Egrets are all fluffy and we spotted a baby Gator. The canal offers a
scenic place to spend the morning and with the old Cypress Trees lining the
sides, it’s like stepping back in time.
