Down from VA for a
little bird watching Dorothy paddled the Wekiva with us. It’s a great place to
do some wildlife viewing and they were all out today! From Pileated Woodpeckers to Sandhill Cranes, Great
Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Little Blues in the white and adult blue phase to
Green Herons, Wood Ducks, Moorhens, Ospreys, Red-shouldered Hawks, Wild
Turkeys, Tri-colored Herons, Anhingas and even a Limpkin just to name a few.
The Turtles were sunning on their favorite logs and we spotted a few small
Alligators mingling in the Duckweed. There is always something to see on the wild
and scenic Wekiva River.
