Paddling the Dora Canal November 30, 2016

Glenn and Laura joined me on the early morning Dora Canal tour and we were met by the Fall season. The Red Maple leaves were raining down on us as we paddled downstream. The birds are starting to build their nests and don their breeding plumage. Three Great Blue Herons were striking a pose for their mates and the Great Egrets and Anhingas are sitting on nests high in the tops of the Cypress Trees. The Kingfishers and Pied-billed Grebes are now down for the Winter. The old Elfin River is truly an enchanted place to paddle.
